Most say seizure of weapons linked to Kotee may be political: Poll | Bangkok Post: news

Most of the people think the seizure of a huge cache of weapons from a house linked to Wuthipong Kochathamakun, alias Kotee, in Pathum Thani on March 18 may be politically-related, according to the result of an opinion survey by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, or Suan Dusit Poll. The poll was conducted between March 20-25 on 1,276 people throughout the country. Asked what they think about the seizure, 76.33% of the respondents said it might be politically-related and a personal matter; 73.35% said the case should be justly and rightfully handled; and, 67.71% said more investigation into it was required. On a suggestion that it was an assembly of weapons aimed at assassinating the country's leaders, 45.69% were uncertain, saying that the information was still unclear; 31.90% believed it was possible; and, 22.41% said it was not possible. Asked whether they believe in a report that it was a set-up, 46.63% said they were uncertain; 36.99% did not think it was a set-up, saying that the evidence of the wrongdoing was clear; and, 16.38% said it was possibly a set-up to create unrest.
